DFW Airport Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Stations

Project Highlights

JE Dunn + PGAL is the design-build team leading this DFW International Airport project to consolidate the airport’s four existing Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Stations into two new ARFF Stations, as well as addition of a new Fumigation Facility.

This project consists of:

  • Ten (10) apparatus bays with bi-parting, four-fold doors which have an advantage in operational speed, opening in less than seven seconds, and more energy-efficient.
  • A full kitchen / dining and dayroom, patio, fitness, training, and laundry facilities.
  • 18 dorm rooms, plus dorm /office space for three captains/chiefs.
  • Hazmat storage, SCBA supply, Decontamination/ Gear wash , foam storage and gear storage.
  • Building hardening to ICC -500 code, including an F5-rated storm shelter.
