JE Dunn was the Construction Manager for Raymore-Peculiar High School’s 2021 $72M Bond Program.
The NGC encompasses a two-story education wing, a music room, gym/locker rooms, cafeteria, collaboration rooms, and a two-story main entry. Designed for flexibility, the two-story wing serves as a blended learning space, featuring teacher workroom suites. Other amenities include a practice field for freshman athletics and a loop road to facilitate student pick-up and drop-off.
The district acquired a vacant building to expand opportunities for students in career-oriented education and real-world learning experiences. JE Dunn converted the entire building from a vacant farm and home store to the thriving LEAD Center for Ray-Pec students. The Center now houses programs such as Machining, Enterprise and Design, heating and cooling (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, automation and robotics.
A 772-seat addition to the west side of the existing high school. Most of the additions, about 90%, consist of precast panels, with the tallest reaching 55 feet in height. Among its features are an orchestra pit at the front of the stage, two catwalks for theatrical lighting and equipment, a new sound booth with cutting-edge sound systems, and a 1,454 SF shop area for building theatrical sets. Additionally, there are new bathrooms for the audience, single bathrooms for staff, concessions, and a ticket booth.
JE Dunn’s exceptional design estimates allowed for critical project adjustments ahead of bid day, ensuring a seamless experience from the start. The team excelled in planning and scheduling, guiding the project from groundbreaking to ribbon-cutting with precision and professionalism. They even went above and beyond by assisting with the scheduling of FF&E, which was outside their original scope of work. Throughout the process, I was consistently kept informed with weekly budget updates, and I am proud to report that all projects were completed on time and within budget, delivering on every promise made to the Raymore-Peculiar community.
